Client Inventory Management
Currently, the company does not have a systematic way of keeping track of their clients; however, they do use several online programs to assist each agent in managing their client information. HALO Realty works through various websites in order to obtain potential clients. To be a part of these websites, a person must be:
1.) A New Jersey Association of Realtors member (NJAR)2.) Pay a fee
One example of these kinds of websites is, Realtor.com. The owner of HALO, Paul Verdicchio, pays a monthly fee, and in exchange, receives weekly leads for potential buyers and renters.
The Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
This is the primary listing system used by all
agents. There are various data systems for different counties, although most
are interchangeable. For example:
- Middlesex County : Middlesex County MLS
- North and South Jersey : Garden State MLS
- Monmouth County and Freehold Township : Monmouth County MLS.
Realtor
associates use the MLS to find
properties and information and store client information for
future usage. However, you are only able to see the information on the client you have
provided. What makes this system a bit unorganized for keeping an inventory of clients is its inability to link
with sites such as Realtor.com, leaving multiple copies of the same client
information on various sites.
HALO Realty’s Business strategy
1.) Operate based off leads provided by the previously mentioned websites.2.) Market through word of mouth (referrals)
3.) Realtor associates make “cold calls” to home owners based off a paid list.
